Beautiful woman who wanted to get married

There was this beautiful woman, who wanted to get married, but she wanted a very pious husband, so she said that she’ll marry the man who recites the whole Quran every single day, fasts for the whole year and stays awake and worships Allah all throughout the night.

She was a very beautiful woman, and a lot of suitors wanted to marry her, but they knew they couldn’t fulfil the conditions she set. Until this one man stepped forward and said he could fulfil them. So the Imam got both of them married.

After the first night of the marriage, the wife sees that the husband doesn’t recite the whole of the Quran, nor does he fast, nor does he stay awake in the worship of Allah, she decided to let it roll on for a few weeks to see if there were any changes, there weren’t, so she filed a complaint and asked for a divorce.

They are both taken in front of the judge, and the judge asked, ‘What were the conditions of the marriage?’ the man replied ‘They were for me to recite the whole Quran daily, keep fast for the whole year and to worship Allah all throughout the night.’

The Judge asked, ‘ did you fulfil them? The man calmly answered, ‘…yes.’

The judge answers, ‘you lie, your wife has said that you don’t, that’s why she’s asking for a divorce’.

But the man insisted that he had fulfilled the conditions, so the judge asked, ‘did you recite the full Quran everyday?’ The man answered yes. The Judge, baffled asked, ‘how? How can you do that?’ The man coolly answered, ‘I recite Surah Ikhlas three times a day and according to Prophet Muhammad (saw), reciting Surah Ikhlas three times is equivalent to reciting the whole Quran.’ The Judge was intrigued, so he asked, ‘how did you fast the whole year?’ The man answered, ‘ I fasted for the whole month of Ramadan, then kept another six fasts in the month of Shawwal, according to Prophet Muhammad (saw), keeping all of the fast of Ramadan then keeping six fasts in the month of Shawwal, is as if you have fasted for the whole year.’

The Judge remained silent, he couldn’t give a reply saying the man was wrong, so finally he asked, ‘ how did you stay awake all night and worship Allah, when your wife saw you sleeping?’ The Judge thought the man wouldn’t be able to answer this one, but the man, cool as a cucumber answered, ‘I prayed Salatul Isha with jamaat, then the next day prayed Salatul Fajr with jamaat, according to Prophet Muhammad (saw), the one who prays Salatul Isha and Salatul Fajr with jamaat, it is as if he had stayed up all night worshipping Allah.’

The Judge sat there looking at the man; the final verdict was about to be released…

He said to the man and his wife, ‘…go, just go, there is nothing wrong with this marriage’…

A Short Story - 'About Struggling'

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop and do not seems to be making any progress anymore. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and a pair of small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were Allah’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If Allah allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never “fly”!

I asked for strength.........

And Allah gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for wisdom.........

And Allah gave me problems to solve.

I asked for prosperity.........

And Allah gave me brain and brawn to work.

I asked for courage.........

And Allah gave me danger to overcome.

I asked for love..........

And Allah gave me troubled people to help.

I asked for favors.........

And Allah gave me Opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted........

I received everything I needed!

Al-Quran Surah 23: Verse 14 (The Believer).

Importance of Du'a (Supplication) In Islam

Du'a (supplication) is a conversation with Allah (s.w.t). It is not that we have forgotten du’a completely; we refer to it regularly. But, our ideas and practice regarding du’a have become distorted. Often it is reduced to the level of a ritual. Generally it is considered when all our efforts have failed - an act of last resort. It is belittled through actions and sometimes even with words. Is it any wonder that today mostly a mention of du’a is meant to indicate the hopelessness of a situation.

Dua is our most potent weapon in all struggles of life as well as in jihad in the battlefield. During the battle of Badr, the Prophet Muhammad stood up all night in prayer seeking Allah's help in the battle between unequal armies that would follow the next day. In the decisive battles against the crusaders, Sultan Salatuddin Ayyubi was busy day and night. His days were devoted to Jihad. His nights were spent making du'a, crying, seeking Allah's help. This has been the practice of all true mujahideen.

We should make it a point to make dua for all things big and small. It is the beginning of wisdom to realise that big and small are arbitrary labels that are totally irrelevant in this context. Nothing is too big for Whom we are asking from; nothing is too small for the one who is asking. That is why we have been taught to ask Allah when we need something as small as shoelaces. We should ask as a beggar, as a destitute person, for that is what we in reality are in relationship to Allah. At the same time we should ask with great hope and conviction that we shall be granted our prayers. We should remember the Hadith:
"There is nothing more dear to Allah than a servant making du'a to Him." 

On the other hand, a prayer lacking concentration and conviction is no prayer at all.

We should make dua at all times, not only during times of distress. The Prophet Muhammad said:

 
"Whosoever desires that Allah answers his dua's in unfavorable and difficult conditions, he should make plentiful dua in days of ease and comfort."

Also he said:

 
"The person who does not ask from Allah, Allah becomes angry with him."

In Light of Qur’an & Hadith:

[Tirmidhi, Hadith 3372]
Prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Du’a is worship.”

[Sahih Al-Bukhari, 6340 & Muslim, 2735]
“One of you may be answered so long as he is not hasty and says, ‘I said du’a but I got no response.’”

[Sahih Al-Muslim]
"The dua of a Muslim for his brother (in Islam) in his absence is readily accepted. An angel is appointed to his side. Whenever he makes a beneficial dua for his brother the appointed angel says, 'Aameen. And may you also be blessed with the same.'"

[Surah Ghafir Ch:40 V: 60]

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ

دَاخِرِينَ

And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!"

The Escalating Thoughtlessness of One’s Eyes, Ears and Hearts

[Surah Al-‘A’raf Ch:7 V:179]

  لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا

“They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear.

[Surah Al-'An'am Ch:6 V:25]

 وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۚ وَإِن

 

يَرَوْا كُلَّ آيَةٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَا ۚ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوكَ يُجَادِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا

 

أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِي

"And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they see every one of the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."

[Surah Al-Baqarah Ch:2 V:7]

 خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

"Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allah's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment."

[Surah Al-Fussilat Ch:41 V:5]

 وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ

 

إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ

"And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)."

Message to All:
My Muslim brothers why do we not follow the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (may peace & blessings of Allah be upon him)?. Why do we not live our life as prescribed by him? Why do we argue over religion? Why don't we realize that this world is nothing but a mere test for us?, Why do we have to insult the person who tries to talk us into religion? Why do we indulge ourselves in wasteful activities that were disliked by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace & Blessings of Allah be upon Him)?

It's high time! and the end of time is very near open your eyes and look around you, open your ears and listen to the right word, open your heart and understand everything, Don't fall into the trap set by 'Satan'

Repent Towards your Lord, seek forgiveness, Cry out to him ' O Allah ' & Surely He will answer you and forgive you.

May Allah (s.w.t) enable us to follow the right path by His Grace Ameen!

• The One who is pure from any imperfection and clear from children and adversaries.

5. As-Salam

• The One who is free from every imperfection.
• The Peace, The Tranquility

6. Al-Mu'min

• The One who witnessed for Himself that no one is God but Him. And He witnessed for His believers that they are truthful in their belief that no one is God but Him.

• The One who witnesses the saying and deeds of His creatures.

62. Al-Hayy

• The One attributed with a life that is unlike our life and is not that of a combination of soul, flesh or blood.

• The One who remains and does not end.
• The Self-Subsistent, The Eternal, the Self Sustaining.

64. Al-Wajid

• The Rich who is never poor. Al-Wajd is Richness.
• The all perceiving, the Opulent, the Finder.

• The One without a partner.
• The One, the Unique.

66. Al-Majid

• The One who is Majid.
• The Noble, the illustrious.

• The only, the Unique.

• The Master who is relied upon in matters and reverted to in ones needs.

• The One who is kind to His creatures, who covered them with His sustenance and specified whoever He willed among them by His support, protection, and special mercy.

80. At-Tawwab

• The One who grants repentance to whoever He willed among His creatures and accepts his repentance.
• The Acceptor of Repentance, The Forgiver, the Relenting.

81. Al-Muntaqim

• The One who victoriously prevails over His enemies and punishes them for their sins. It may mean the One who destroys them.
• The Avenger

82. Al-'Afuww

• The One with wide forgiveness.
• The Forgiver, the effacer, the Pardoner

83. Ar-Ra'uf

• The One with extreme Mercy. The Mercy of Allah is His will to endow upon whoever He willed among His creatures.

• The One who is Just in His judgment.

• The One who gathers the creatures on a day that there is no doubt about, that is the Day of Judgment.

• The One who satisfies the necessities of the creatures.
