Amazing True Story of a Muslim Boy


There was once a man who was an enemy to Islam. He had three famous questions that no person could answer. No Islamic scholar in Baghdad could answer his three questions...thus he made fun of Islam in public. He constantly ridiculed Islam and the Muslims. One day a small boy, who`s age was 10, came along and heard the man yelling and screaming at Muslims in the street. He was challenging people openly to answer the three questions.

The boy stood quietly and watched. He then decided that he would challenge the man. He walked up and told the man, "I will accept your challenge".

The man laughed at the boy and ridiculed the Muslims even more by saying, "A ten year old boy challenges me. Is this all you people have to offer!"

But the boy patiently reiterated his stance. He would challenge the man, and with Allah`s help and guidance, he would put this to an end. The man finally accepted.

The entire city gathered around a small "hill" where open addresses were usually made. The man climbed to the top, and in a loud voice asked his first question.

"What is your God doing right now?"

The small boy thought for a little while and then told the man to climb down the hill and to allow him to go up in order to address the question.

The man says "What? You want me to come down?"

The boy says, "Yes. I need to reply, right?"

The man made his way down and the small boy, age 10, with his little feet made his way up.

This small child`s reply was "Oh Allah Almighty! You be my witness in front of all these people. You have just willed that a Kafir be brought down to a low level, and that a Muslim be brought to a high level!"

The crowd cheered and screamed "Takbir"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!"

The man was humiliated, but he boldly asked his Second question... "What existed before your God?"

The small child thought and thought.

Then he asked the man to count backwards. "Count from 10 backwards."

The man counted..."10, 9 ,8 , 7 , 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,0"

The boy asked, "What comes before 0 ?"

The man: "I don`t know...nothing."

The boy: "Exactly. Nothing was before Allah, for He is eternal and absolute."

The crowd cheered again...."Takbir!"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!!"

The man, now completely frustrated, asked his final question. "In which direction is your Allah facing?"

The boy thought and thought.

He then asked for a candle. A candle was brought to him. The blessed child handed it to the man and asked him to light it.

The man did so and remarked, "What is this supposed to prove?"

The young boy asked, "In which direction is light from the candle going?"

The man responded, "It is going in all directions."

The boy: "You have answered your own question. Allah`s light (noor) goes in all directions. He is everywhere. There is no where that He cannot be found.

"The crowd cheered again...."Takbir!"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!"

The man was so impressed and so moved by the boy`s knowledge and spirituality, that he embraced Islam and became a student of the young boy.

So ended the debate.

The young boy was one of our leaders and one of the greatest scholars, Imam Abu Hanifa (May Allah bless him).

Story of Prophet Sulayman, Ant and the Tortoise

Prophet Sulayman / Solomon (peace be upon him) in response to his special prayer to Allah (S.w.t) was granted Kingdom and was given power over the forces of nature, over the men, Jinn, devil and other living creatures. He was also endowed with knowledge of their language and could easily communicate with them.
Prophet Sulayman / Solomon (peace be upon him) once was sitting on the bank of a lake deeply engrossed in the beauties of nature around and appreciating the various forms of Allah’s (S.w.t) creation on earth.


Suddenly Prophet Sulayman’s / Solomon (peace be upon him) attention was drawn towards an Ant creeping forward with a grain of wheat in its mouth. As it reached near the water, a Tortoise came out, opened its mouth and the ant crept into it. The Tortoise closing its mouth disappeared under the water. After a while, the Tortoise again sprung out of the water and standing on the bank opened its mouth and the Ant came out. But this time it had no grain of wheat in its mouth.


Prophet Sulayman / Solomon (peace be upon him) became anxious to know what had been happening under water. On inquiring, the Ant explained that at the bottom of the lake, was a stone and underneath it lived a blind Ant. Allah (S.w.t) had created it there and because of blindness, it could not move about. The Ant further said that I have been appointed by Allah (S.w.t) to provide its daily sustenance with the assistance of the Tortoise and hence, I do perform this duty every day.


Let us ponder over one thing. If a tiny creature like an Ant living under a stone at the bottom of a sea is not denied its sustenance, why should man the noblest of all creatures (Ashraf ul Makhluqat) ever suspect loss of his sustenance from Almighty Allah (S.w.t)? Isn’t it foolishness to dirty one’s hand in prohibited transactions for earning one’s livelihood? Such persons do not get more, than what is destined and earn Allah’s (S.w.t) Wrath and Punishment in this world and Hereafter.


Moral:
Allah (S.w.t) is ‘Ar Razzaq’. He is our Provider we should always have faith in Him and trust Him in all our Affairs.

7 Reasons to Read The Glorious Quran

The Holy Qur'an

Intimate:
It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans cannot write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Qur’an said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not another one like the Qur’an.


Incorruptible:
It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Qur’an was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.


Unsurpassable:
The Qur’an is Allah (s.w.t)’s final revelation to humankind. Allah (s.w.t) revealed the Torah to Moses, the Pslams to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally The most sacred book of all ‘The Holy Qur’an’ to Prophet Muhammad. Peace is upon all of them. No other book will come from Allah (s.w.t) to surpass his final revelation.


Indisputable:
The Qur’an withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. IT mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries confirm that the Qur’an was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Qur’an alone is never contradicted by a modern discovery.


Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife:
The Qur’an is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Qur’an also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to paradise.


Allah (s.w.t) 's Gift of Guidance:
Allah (s.w.t)  has not left you alone. You were made for a reason. Allah (s.w.t) tells you why he made you, what he demands from you, and what he has in store for you. If you operate a machine contrary to its manufacture specification you will ruin that machine. What about you? Do you have an owner's manual for you? The Qur’an is from your function for success lest you fail to function. It is a healing mercy from Allah (s.w.t) . It satisfies the soul, and cleans the heart. It removes doubts and brings peace.

Humans are social creatures. We love to communicate with other intelligent life. The Qur’an tells us how to communicate with the source of all intelligence and the source of all life- the One Allah (s.w.t) . Before Jumu'ah (Friday)
Abu Hurayrah (May Peace & Blessings be upon him) has related that, 'The Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) before going to Friday prayer would clip his nails and mustache.' 


Every fifteenth day
The Messenger of Allah (May Peace & Blessings be upon him) would get his nails pared every fifteen days. 


Do not exceed forty days
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (May Peace & Blessings be upon him) said that, 'Do not let forty days elapse without trimming the mustache and paring the nails.' 


Personal Suggestion:
We must follow this Sunnah and cut our nails as prescribed by our beloved Prophet (May Peace & Blessings be upon him). If we teach others the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace & Blessings be upon him) and they follow it then we will gain the reward for this till they follow it by the grace of Allah (s.w.t). Rest Allah knows best.

The Story of a Pretty Woman


A man was walking through the marketplace one afternoon when, just as the ‘Muadhdhin’ began the call to prayer, his eye fell on a woman’s back. She was strangely attractive though dressed in fulsome black a veil over head and face and she now turned to him as if somehow conscious of his over-lingering regard and gave him a slight but meaningful nod before she rounded the corner into the lane of silk sellers. As if struck by a bolt from heaven, the man was at once drawn his heart a prisoner of that look forever.

In vain he struggled with his heart, offering it one sound reason after another to go his way – wasn’t it time to pray? But it was finished: there was nothing but to follow. He hastened after her, turning into the market of silks, breathing from the exertion of catching up with the woman. Who had unexpectedly outpaced him and even now lingered for an instance at the far end of the market. Many shops ahead.

She turned toward him and he thought he could see a flash of a mischievous smile from beneath the black Muslim of her veil, as she – was it his imagination? – beckoned to him. The poor man was beside himself. Who was she? The daughter of a wealthy family? What did she want? He quickened his steps and turned into the lane where she had disappeared. And so she led him, always beyond reach, always tantalizingly ahead, now through the weapons market, now the oil merchants’, now and the leather sellers; farther and farther from where they began the feeling within him grew rather than decreased.

Was she mad? On and on she led. To the very edge of the town the sun declined and set, and there she was, before him as ever. Now they were come, of all places to the ‘City of Tombs’.
Had he been in his normal senses? He would have been afraid, but indeed he now reflected. Stranger places than this had been a lovers tryst.

There were scarcely twenty cubits between them when he saw her look back, and, giving a little start, she skipped down the steps and through the great bronze door of what seemed to be a very old sepulcher. A soberer moment might have seen the man pause, but in his present state, there was no turning back, and he went down the steps and slid in after her.

Inside, as his eyes saw after a moment, there were two flights of steps that led down to a second door, from whence a light shone, and which he equally passed through. He found himself in a large room, somehow unsuspected by the outside world, lit with candles upon its walls.

There sat the woman, opposite the door on a pallet of rich stuff in her full black dress, still veiled, reclining on a pillow against the far wall. To the right of the pallet, the man noticed a well set in the floor.

Lock the door behind you,” she said in a low, husky voice that was almost a whisper, “and bring the key.” He did as he was told. She gestured carelessly at the well. “Throw it in.”

A ray of sense seemed to penetrate for a moment through the clouds over his understanding, and a bystander, had there been one, might have detected the slightest of pauses.
Go on,” she said laughingly, “You didn’t hesitate to miss the prayer as you followed me here, did you?” He said nothing.

The time for sunset prayer has almost finished as well,” she said with gentle mockery. “Why worry? Go on, throw it in. You want to please me, don’t you?”

He extended his hand over the mouth of the well, and watched as he let the key drop. An uncanny feeling rose from the pit of his stomach as moments passed but no sound came. He felt wonder, then horror, then comprehension.

It is time to see me…” she said, and she lifted her veil to reveal not the face of a fresh young girl, but of a hideous old crone, all darkness and vice, not a particle of light anywhere in its eldritch lines.

See me well” she said. “My name is Dunya (This worldly life). I am your beloved. You spent your time running after me, and now you have caught up with me. In your grave. Welcome, welcome.”

At this she laughed and laughed, until she shook herself into a small mound of fine dust, whose fitful shadows, as the candles went out, returned to the darkness one by one…….


Moral of the Story:

The World appeals to you, intrigues you, because it is meant to do. What you see is just an hallucination. This World is nothing but a mere test for the mankind. You must set your priorities and keep the end in mind.

Words of Inspiration - Story about 'Honesty'



'Honesty' - Life of a true Muslim
An emperor in the Far East was growing old and knew it was time to choose his successor. Instead of choosing one f his assistants or his children, he decided something different. He called young people in the kingdom together one day and said “It is time for me to step down and choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you.”



The kids were shocked! But the emperor continued. “I am going to give each one of you a seed today, one very special seed. I want you to plant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed. I will them judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next emperor!”


One boy named Ling was there that day and he like the others, received a seed as well, He went home and excitedly told his mother the story. She helped him get a pot and planting soil, and he planted seed and watered it carefully. Every day he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other youths began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.


Ling kept checking his seed but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, 4 weeks, 5 weeks went by still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants but Ling didn’t have a plant, and he felt like a failure. Six months went by still nothing in Ling’s pot. He just knew he had killed his seed.


Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Ling didn’t say anything to his friends; however He just kept waiting for his seed to grow.


A year finally went by and all the youths of the kingdom brought their plants to the emperor for inspection. Ling told his mother that he wasn’t going to take an empty pot. But honest about what happened, Ling felt sick to his stomach, but he knew his mother was right. He took his empty pot to the palace. When Ling arrived he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other youths. They were beautiful in all shapes and sized. Ling put his empty pot on the floor and many of the other kids laughed at him. A few felt sorry for him and just said, “Hey nice try”


When the emperor arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted the young people. Ling just tried to hide in the back, “My what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown” said the emperor. “Today one of you will be appointed the next emperor!” All of a sudden, the emperor spotted Ling at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered his guards to bring him to the front. Ling was terrified, “The emperor knows I’m a failure! Maybe he will have me killed!”


When Ling got to the front, The Emperor asked his name. “My name is Ling” he replied. All the kids were laughing and making fun of him. The emperor asked everyone to quiet down. He looked at Ling and then announced to the crown, “Behold your new emperor! His name is Ling!”. Ling couldn’t believe it. Ling couldn’t even grow his seed. How could he be the new emperor? Then the emperor said, “One year ago today I gave everyone here a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds which would not grow. All of you except Ling have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Ling was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore he is the one who will be the new emperor!”




What Islam Tells us Regarding Honesty According to Hadith of Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (May Peace & Blessings be upon Him):

The Prophet (May Peace & Blessings be upon him) said, "Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a man keeps on telling the truth until he becomes a truthful person. Falsehood leads to Al-Fajur (i.e. wickedness, evil-doing), and Al-Fajur (wickedness) leads to the (Hell) Fire, and a man may keep on telling lies till he is written before Allah, a liar."

Narrated by Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three: Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; and whenever he promises, he breaks his promise; and whenever he is entrusted, he betrays (proves to be dishonest)".

Narrated by Samura bin Jundub:

The Prophet said, "I saw (in a dream), two men came to me." Then the Prophet narrated the story (saying), "They said, 'The person, the one whose cheek you saw being torn away (from the mouth to the ear) was a liar and used to tell lies and the people would report those lies on his authority till they spread all over the world. So he will be punished like that till the Day of Resurrection."'

How Music Affects Us In My Opinion


Don't Fall into the Trap that 'Music is Life' because its not
Let’s hollow out further what music does to the Mankind as a ‘whole’? It distracts you deprives you , diverts your attention from the right path keeps you away from remembrance of Allah (S.w.t) and you delay your prayer because of music and we say (let us listen to some songs or complete the one we are listening to right now then we will pray afterwards which is what? *Shirk* so when we do this *shirk* then music becomes haram (prohibited) for us. (this is the whole big story why mostly Islamic Scholars keep on emphasizing that one should avoid music as its haram (prohibited).



Today music and songs are completely different, we can witness many Muslims listening to music and songs that involve shirk in them, we listen to such Haram Music and then we go to pray afterwards. Is this how we should be setting an example of a Muslim in our society? How can we stop our children from evil acts when we are a part of it as well?

Everywhere we go we feel the need to listen to music, if we are going on a trip our cars are blaring with music just think for a second God Forbid what if you get into an accident and you die? The last thing you did while you were alive was not a good deed instead you were listening to a ‘Satanic Song’ and we should always remember that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (May Peace & Blessings be upon Him) said: ‘You will die the way you lived & you will be resurrected the way you died ’.

Though We Muslims know one thing that If we are not certain about something then instead of continuing to do the same thing we should stop doing that until and unless we are certain that our religion allows us to do it however we do the opposite keep on doing it until someone proves us that its wrong and still many argue and continue to do it. In a way we argue over Qur'an and Hadith. We should fear Allah (s.w.t) and sacrifice our worldly desires for Him and only then we will be rewarded for this good deed not only in this world but hereafter as well Insha'Allah. May Allah (s.w.t) give us the strength to follow the right path (Sirat-al-mustaqeem) and enable us to follow the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessing be upon him).
